4:05AM VISITOR
He woke with a start. Something's on top of him and it's quite heavy. The thing woke him up.
Changmin opened his eyes and felt something beside him. Slowly, he turned his head to his right. Something is in there. His vision is quite blurry.
"Maybe I should go to an ophthalmologist," he said to himself. He rubbed his eyes with his right hand, and his vision became clearer. Something is indeed in his right.
Or someone.
"Hey hyung!"
It was Jeff's left forearm that was on top of Changmin's chest. Changmin carefully slide it from him.
"Hyung, wake up!"
"What?" replied Jeff sleepy, sounding sleepy.
"What the hell are you doing here in my bed?" Changmin asked.
"Sleeping," Jeff answered simply.
"Sorry about that. We have a guest, and she's sleeping in my room," Jeff explained while sitting up. "It's rude for you to wake me up. It's-" Jeff paused to look at his wrist watch. "It's 4:10 in the morning."
"Yeah. I know. I mean, I just had 10 minutes of sleep when something woke me up. It's your arm," Changmin replied, laughing.
"Oh, sorry about that. Ha ha."
"By the way, who is she?" Changmin asked.
"She?" Jeff responded.
"The guest."
"Oh."
Five minutes before, Jeff was on the kitchen when somebody knocked on the door. Changmin was fast asleep already.
"Hmmm." Jeff walked towards the door, wondering who this visitor could be. And what a visitor, deciding to drop by at such an hour.
Jeff carefully and silently removed the locks on the door.
Then, he proceeded to grasp the door knob and slowly turned it. He felt it click.
He opened the door slowly.
But something pushed the door towards him. He jumped back to avoid being hit by the door, then somebody rushed at him and hugged him.
"Please, let me stay here," said the 4:05AM visitor.
Jeff broke the hug, and then took a good look at this visitor. He noticed the guest blushed.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I thought you were Min," said the visitor.
Jeff laughed hard. "That's alright. You're probably at the verge of breaking down that you failed to notice that I am not Min indeed. Ha ha."
"Oh, this is so embarrassing. I'm really sorry."
"That's alright. I see you too found it difficult to sleep," Jeff said.
"Yes, I can't sleep. And I feel so lonely at my house. I decided that it would calm me if I would sleep here."
Jeff remembered the phone conversation, and then said, "Figures. Should I wake Min up? Good news, he's still alive!"
The visitor laughed and then said, "No. Let him sleep."
"Alright."
Jeff escorted the visitor to his room.
"Sorry if it is quite messy."
"Oh, no. The room's very neat. Not a room I expected to find from a guy," the visitor replied.
"Then you should see Min's room. Ha ha. Feel at home." Jeff started to leave the room.
"Thank you," said the visitor.
Jeff just raised his hand as reply. He closed the door of his room and went to Changmin's room. He found his brother sleeping soundly.
"Surely he won't wake up, being such a heavy sleeper and all," he said.
"WHAT! ROBE'S HERE? WHAT IS SHE DOING HERE?" Changmin was surprised.
"Sleeping," Jeff said.
Changmin glared at his brother.
"Hyung!"
"Ha ha. She is sleeping. She can't sleep in her house, so she probably decided to sleep here," Jeff explained.
"But why?"
"Remember the telephone conversation?"
"Ah," Changmin blurted out. He remembered.
"Everything's in order now. So go to sleep again. Sorry if I woke you up," Jeff said.
"Alright," Changmin replied.
"And I'm telling you, don't sneak into my room. You cannot enter. You will need my eye. So give up. No chance of seeing Robe this moment, so sleep already," Jeff said, with a laugh.
"Okay," Changmin responded. He intended to go to his hyung's room anyway. He pretended to sleep. After what seemed like several minutes, when he's certain that Jeff is asleep, he carefully got out of his bed and headed towards the door, treading carefully. Every once in a while, Changmin looked back at his hyung to see if he woke him up, then walked on when he saw he did not. He got past the door and did not bother closing it, for it might wake Jeff up. Still walking carefully and silently, he went downstairs, very careful in each and every step. Then he proceeded to his hyung's room.
He remembered his hyung telling him "You cannot enter".
It's true.
"What the hell does a retina scanner doing here?" he asked himself.
He never saw this device. "When did it get here? Now I can't really enter."
He wondered if knocking would do him good. Maybe she's already asleep, but he decided to knock anyway.
Silence.
"She's sleeping already." Changmin sighed.
Then suddenly, the door opened, slowly.
"There you are," said Changmin with a smile.
